Southern stye banana puddin

The best thing about this recipe is the hint of pineapple and the homemade custard ! yum 
Ingredients: 1 cup sugar - 3 eggs, beaten - 1 dash salt - 2 tablespoons cornstarch - 2 cups milk - 1 teaspoon vanilla - 2-3 ripe bananas, sliced - 1 can crush pineapple - box vanilla wafers
Directions: Mix sugar and eggs together. Add salt, cornstarch, and milk. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly; cook until thickened. Remove from heat; add vanilla and mix well. In serving bowl, layer the wafers, pineapple, bananas, and pudding
