Appreciation of beauty

I’ve been collecting modern studio silver jewelry for some years now. At first I was strongly drawn to some of the Danish and Scandinavian jewelry designers; through my research I discovered American modernist studio jewelry and fell in love quickly.  I decided to write about this kind of jewelry although information for some of the more vintage/rare pieces is not easy. Designer marks can be quite difficult to find/research which is why I've decided long ago to not focus on the marks and designer and focus more on aesthetic and detail

Modernist piece

I love this ring so that I brought two this lovely piece of sterling is simply a vision of beauty in my eyes super chic and elegant. A sophisticated modernist look for a lonely finger

Random rings

In my hunt for the rare and unusual lurking in vintage boutiques, shops, and stores
I have found these lovelies

Turquoise foot necklace

This is a piece I'll be wearing for a long time,
it's really special - turquoise sterling foot necklace

Accessorize your wrist ...

There's nothing like adding a wide range of bangles to an outfit - mixed and matched
with different colors, shapes, and sizes
(vintage/modern Lucite and plastic bangles)

Coral and lapis rings

Coral and lapis twin sterling rings
I no longer own these rings as I gave them to a dear friend who felt in love with them. They had such great detail - oh how I miss them. But now they are in a lovely collection

Jewelry making

You don't need much experience or long hours
sitting in a class, skills, or power tools
All you need is motivation
and a few basic, inexpensive beads and tools
 9 easy steps:
1.  Choose the length for your bracelet and purchase that much beading thread
2.  Choose your beads
3.  Make sure you have your  clasp and two bead tips
4.  Knot the thread end and use scissors to trim off the excess
5. Push the unknotted end of your thread through one open end
6.  Place a small amount of  glue onto the knot and allow to dry
7.  String your beads
8. Tie a loose knot in the remaining thread end, make sure it's nice and tight
9.  Take one clasp piece onto one bead tip hook so that the loops at the end of each are joined, do the same for the other end, and you're done

The perfect blend

The perfect blend of femininity and class - chunky MOP bracelet topped with precious detail, VTG MOP Lucite bangle and large sterling bangle, a slab of real MOP incorporates in this bangle. I thought this detail was quite a tremendous feature

Photos of jewelry

Big, bold, and chunky jewelry is all I need. Appealing to everyone who sees it; this kind of jewelry compliment your outfit and attract positive attention. Try something new - don’t be afraid to wear multiple rings on each hand or a large necklace.. it actually looks quite great, you can never wear too much in my opinion
