Homemade stuffing

Stuffing is a big holiday food. Most people have this dish for either Thanksgiving
or Christmas - perhaps for both holidays. Making stuffing is a recipe you really can't screw up
as it is so simple and easy to make. All you have to do is get your ingredients together,
throw them in the baking dish, and bake for about 40 minutes -1hr.

Simple ingredients:    
1/2 stick of butter
one large onion, chopped in cubes
two - three celery sticks, finely chopped
a couple pinches of parsley, fresh or dry
one egg (to help hold everything together)
1/2 teaspoon salt/ a pinch of pepper
one teaspoon ground sage
1/2 cup of peas
1/2 cup of carrots, finely chopped
1/2 cup of bell pepper, finely chopped
eight - ten cups of dried unseasoned bread cubes 
(or any brand of "day old" bread)
one 1/2 cup vegetable broth or chicken broth
Optional garnish: brown gravy
