Quick/easy drop biscuits


 These are something serious, perfect for Saturday mornings
 Ingredients: 1/2 stick cold salted butter, cut into pieces - 1/2 cup shortening - 2 cups all-purpose flour - 2 teaspoons baking powder - 1 teaspoon kosher salt/sugar - 3/4 cup whole milk

Directions: Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a baking sheet with butter. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Toss butter into the dry ingredients until coated with flour. Using your fingers rub or cut butter into flour until it resembles coarse meal. Add milk and stir until it comes together, slightly sticty dough.5. Using a ice cream scoop or medium size spoon, mound balls of dough onto the baking sheet. Bake biscuits until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes
