Casual saturation

Today's look screams chic and casual. I have coordinated this contrast of blue, black, and white before (seen here) and can't seem to get enough of this combo. I don't believe in just wearing dark colors during this time of year. Adding some color to your look all year round is a good thing

Pita bread recipe

This pita bread recipe is so easy and health friendly. You probably already have the ingredients laying around the kitchen as the ingredients are as simple as water, flour, yeast, and salt for the most part. You can make pita bread either in the oven or on the stove top. I find myself making a lot of bread recipes these days and enjoying every minute of it. Why buy bread from the store when you can make it at home, and besides . .  this way I know what's in my bread, I understand all the ingredients, it is so much healthier, and it taste better if you ask me, let's get started . . .

Easy ingredients:  2 1/2 cups King Arthur unbleached all-purpose flour - 2 teaspoons instant yeast - 2 teaspoons sugar - 1 teaspoons salt - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1 cup luke warm water - 1/4 cup shortening (allows you to roll pita shapes easily, plus adds great texture to the dough)
Prep
Pre-heat oven 400 degrees - Mix all the ingredients together with a wooden spoon. Knead the dough for 15-20 mins. Clean the bowl you used to mix the dough and sprinkle a little olive oil around the bowl, put the dough in the bowl and turn it until coated with oil. Cover with a clean dishcloth or plastic wrap, let the dough rise until it's doubled or let rest in the refrigerator for about two hrs (even longer if you like), rolled into 8-10 balls (using a rolling pin), flatten each piece into into a 8-9 inches wide, about a quarter inch thick disks. Sprinkle with a little extra flour if they stick on the counter. Repeat with the left over dough until all the balls have been rolled into the disks. Cover with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap until ready for baking. If you have a baking stone, put the pitas on it or on a large cookie sheet, then into the oven they go (for about 4-5 mins). Cover baked pitas with a clean damp dish towel until ready for serving - serve with humus or Greek yogurt sauce
